It is important to clarify that we do not sell personal information in the conventional sense. Under the CCPA, "selling" is defined as "disclosing a consumer’s personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration," unless a contractual agreement prohibits such disclosure for purposes other than those specified in the contract.
Given the expansive definition of "personal information" and the lack of a clear definition for "valuable consideration" in the CCPA, the determination of whether our use of analytics technology constitutes a "sale" is ambiguous.
